 The Feind Winery – established in 1993 – owns 100 hectares of vineyards in the vicinity of Balatonfőkajár and Balatonvilágos. Most of the more than 20 varieties is white grape. The planted more than 5000 grape-vines on one hectare land. Most of their white wines are made with reductive technology, whilst red wines are fermented in large wooden barrels.The property is managed by Lajos Feind, the father with four decades experience. He has been specialized in agriculture and plant protection. The cellar is managed by his son, Péter Feind, who is a trained winemaker with one year experience in Australia. Wine lovers favoring Hungarian varieties should pay special attention to the excellent olaszrizling, kékfrankos and cserszegi fűszeres (spicy) produced by this winemaker from year to year.
