Hungarian wines won 3 Trophies, 5 Gold, 7 Silver and 7 Bronze Medals at the International Wine Challenge 2015 in London, which is one of largest wine competition in the world.
Most of the medals were won from the Tokaj region. The “Hungarian Sweet”, “Aszú” and “Tokaj Trophy” were awarded to “Royal Tokaj 2011 6 puttony Aszú”. The Tokaj Essencia Trophy was given to “Tokaj Essencia 2007″ from Tokaj Trading House (Kereskedőház).
The recently released Juhfark 2013 of the Tornai Cellar not only won a Gold Medal, but also took home the prestigious “Hungarian Dry White Trophy”, which was reserved or the best wines from Hungary. Perhaps this is the highest award ever granted to a Hungarian wine originating from the Nagy-Somló region.
