Portugieser du Monde 2015

The international exhibition and contest of Portuguese wines will be held this year third times in Pécs. Nominations are open; so far they received applications for the April event from five countries.

Producers of Portuguese will present their products (portugizer, purtugizac, portugalká, blauer portugieser, modrý portugal) on 10-11 April 2015 in the Zsolnay Cultural Quarter in the city of Pécs.

On the first day of the event, on 10 April, an international panel will assess nominated wines. On the second day (11 April) producers participating in the contest will hold a wine tasting for the general public. Life jazz will be presented during the tasting and, first time this year, the organizers will offer wide range of gastronomic surprises.

Nominations will be received in three categories:

 Young Portuguese (vintage 2014);

 Vintage Portuguese (from 2013 or earlier);

 Cuvees containing minimum 25 % Portuguese.

Nominations will be closed on 31 March 2015.

Each nomination can be represented by three bottles; to be sent to the address of the editor of Pécsi Borozó magazine: (VinOliva Kft., Pécsi Borozó zerkesztősége, 7622 Pécs, Nyírfa u. 14/a.). So far nominations have been received from Hungarian, Austrian, German, Serbian and Slovakian winemakers.
