Family-friendly Walkabout in Etyek
The Etyek Wine Road Association (Etyeki Borút Egyesület ) will organize a family-friendly walkabout on 23-24 May 2015.
On this weekend the village will be transformed into a festival center. Wine cellars and family farms will be open to the public, where wine and food tasting will be available. Children will not be missed out either; several programs will be available for the young ones too.
You may discover the “Vineyard of Budapest” in an authentic spring environment,walking from cellar to cellar from the Sánci hill to Öreghegy (Old Hill), where several traditional cellars – made of sandstone – and wine-press houses will be open to visitors.
The loosely organized walkabout will offer not only wine tasting, but also professional tasting of artisan champagnes. Visitors may search for the best wine of the Walkabout, may take special photos of the atmosphere, and may visit gastro workshops. They will not forget about children: handmade chocolates, home-made cakes, local cheese-making, Puszta-tour, baby animal patting, dance lessons, musical instrument testing, arts and crafts workshops and a playground will be available for them.
