Ede Tiffán Ede has completed the College of Horticulture and Viticulture in 1965. In the following period of almost 27 years he worked for major agricultural companies and the State Farm in Villány as a viticulturist and winemaker. In 1967 he started his first independent enterprise and worked part time in his own vinery. In 1991 Ede Tiffán won the very first title of the Winemaker of the Year. His family vineyards are located within the wine region of Villány. The total of 20 ha vineyards are occupying the best localities – Jammertal, Sterntal, Devil’s Ditch (Ördögárok), the Hermit (Remete), the Barren (Kopár) and the Castle Forest (Várerdő). Most of them are located at 130-200 above sea level. The cellar has won medals at several international wine competitions. The following varieties are grown on these vineyards: Portugieser, Kadarka, Kékfrankos, Pinot noir, Merlot, Cabernet franc, Cabernet sauvignon. Web: www.tiffans.hu |
